Our community engagement activities are rooted in a deep commitment to the wellbeing of women across all racial and ethnic backgrounds. We take immense pride in developing and delivering community projects specifically designed to uplift women, fostering an environment where health, confidence, and opportunity intersect. We believe it is our fundamental responsibility to reach out to those who are less advantaged within our communities, offering customised support systems that break down barriers and empower every woman to truly thrive.
Recognising that experiences are not universal, we work closely with ethnic minority women to understand their unique lived experiences. We acknowledge that their challenges and aspirations can differ significantly from those of their white counterparts, requiring a nuanced and culturally sensitive approach. By listening to these specific needs, we ensure that our interventions are not just generic, but are purposefully built to address the intersectional hurdles they face.
To turn this vision into reality, we operate in active partnership with local authorities and dedicated sponsors. These collaborations allow us to pool resources and expertise to deliver targeted support that directly alleviates challenges, such as social isolation, economic inequality, or health disparities. Together, we are building a more inclusive community where every woman, regardless of her background, has the resources and the voice to succeed.
A series of supportive wellbeing workshops on menopause and life transitions, guided by trusted experts such as GPs and menopause specialists. These sessions help women and families understand what is happening, talk about it safely, and leave with practical ways to cope.
Women experiencing perimenopause or menopause, women who are not there yet but want to learn early, and family members who want to support well, including partners and older children.
Each workshop includes expert guidance, open conversation, and practical education in a warm, culturally aware space. Women can ask questions, learn what is normal, and understand where to get further support.
Women leave feeling informed, more confident, and better equipped with coping strategies for symptoms, wellbeing, and everyday life. Families leave with clearer understanding and more helpful ways to support.
TAAP is a practical support programme designed to help individuals and families move towards greater stability, confidence, and independence. The programme focuses on relieving the pressure of poverty by providing guidance, skills, and support that help people manage change, improve their financial situation, and take steps towards employment, training, or starting a small business.
Adelphe Connect exists to prevent and reduce poverty and associated trauma by providing early, relational support to women and young women experiencing economic disadvantage, racial inequality, and disrupted life pathways. Our purpose is to strengthen confidence, stability, and access to opportunity before pressures escalate into crisis.
Women and families experiencing financial pressure, unemployment, low income, or life transition, who want support to become more stable, build confidence, and move forward into work, education, or self-employment.
This includes people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to take the next step, as well as those who want guidance to rebuild after a difficult period.
TAAP offers structured workshops, small group sessions, and one-to-one guidance focused on practical life skills, financial understanding, confidence building, and future planning. Sessions may include support with budgeting, understanding benefits and systems, preparing for work, exploring business ideas, and developing the confidence needed to make informed decisions. Participants are also signposted to trusted services and opportunities that can help them continue progressing beyond the programme.
Participants leave with clearer direction, improved confidence, and practical tools they can use in everyday life. They gain a better understanding of how to manage money, handle change, look for work, or develop an idea into a realistic opportunity. The aim is that each person finishes the programme feeling more capable, more informed, and better prepared to build a steadier future for themselves and their family.
